Welcome to Cali Beach! Please review the following terms and conditions carefully, as they may be subject to change. The current terms are effective from December 2023

 

GENERAL BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please check your reservation confirmation for particulars of your booking, prior to the booking date

The area you reserve is for a maximum number of people outlined on your reservation. No extra guests will be allowed to join the reservation unless an express entry is purchased per guest.

Guests with bookings can enjoy the use of their Cabana, Booth or Daybed from 11:00am until 6:00pm for the day event or 7:00pm until Close for the evening event. Closing times can range from 11:00pm to 01.00am depending on the day and time of year.

All bookable areas are non-refundable.

Booking change of dates or amendments must be made at least 96 hours prior to the event. No change of date will be provided to no-shows or cancellations made within 96 hours prior to your booking.

All guests must be 18 years of age or older with a valid ID.

 

DOOR POLICY

Age Restriction: No entry for individuals under the age of 18.

Identification: All entrants must possess valid photographic identification (passport or driver’s license).

Management’s Discretion: The management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject individuals behaving inappropriately or under the influence.

Security Searches: Security searches are conducted on entry and exit; prohibited items may be confiscated.

No Outside Food/Drink allowed.

Entry Discretion: Entry is at the manager’s discretion, with non-compliance leading to ejection.

Camera Policy: SLR Cameras and unauthorised video cameras are not permitted.

Photography Consent: By entering Cali Beach, you consent to being photographed or filmed for commercial use without payment or copyright.

Animals are not allowed.

 

PAYMENT SURCHARGES

Cali Beach applies a credit card surcharge on online payments to cover the processing fees incurred by credit card transactions. The surcharge is implemented to offset the processing fees incurred by Cali Beach for eftpos and credit card transactions. The surcharges are based on the reasonable cost of acceptance, as outlined by the Reserve Bank requirements. This ensures that the cost of processing payments online is transparent and shared between the company and the customer.

SURCHARGE RATES

Online Payments: 2.1%

A surcharge of 2.1% will be applied to the total transaction amount for all online payments made through our platform via Stripe.

BLENDED RATE FOR IN – VENUE CARD PAYMENTS

The surcharge for in-venue card payments via our merchant provide Tyro will be determined based on the card payment type. The blended rate ranges from 0.8% to 1.5%, depending on the specific card used for the transaction.

PAYMENT TYPES INCLUDED

The surcharge applies to all payment types via eftpos or credit cards, including but not limited to Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

 

PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGES

A surcharge of 15% will be applied to the total transaction amount for all goods and services provided on public holidays.

 

EXPRESS ENTRY

Validity: Valid only for the specified date purchased.

Ticket Pricing: Ticket prices on the website are for advance purchase; on-site purchases may vary.

Non-refundable: Non-refundable ticket costs.

Manager’s Discretion: Express Entry tickets may be subject to the manager’s discretion to alter or vary events.

Personal Use: Tickets are for personal use; resale may result in cancellation without a refund.

Rescheduled Events: If an event is rescheduled, Express Entry will be offered for the new date.

Early Arrival Advised: Guests are advised to arrive early; entry may be subject to capacity limitations.

 

CABANA AND BOOTH BOOKINGS

Minimum Spend: Minimum spend is credited towards food and bottle service.

Guest Limit: Maximum guest number specified; additional guests require an express entry fee.

Gratuity Fee: All Booth and Cabana bookings incur a 5% staff gratuity fee. This is added at the time of booking and makes up the final balance due. This fee is in addition to the minimum spend requirement and is incorporated into the final balance due at the time of booking.

Non-refundable Minimum Spend: Minimum spend is non-refundable; no transfer to another booking or event.

Late Arrival Policy: Guests must arrive before specified times; late arrival may result in forfeiture.

Venue Discretion: Venue may change the specific type booked.

Price Flexibility: Prices subject to change; no obligation to reduce previously booked bed prices.

No Outside Towels: No outside towels allowed.

Payment Presentation: Credit/debit card used for booking must be presented on the day.

Payment Security: No credit/debit card details held after payment.

Booking Changes: Booking changes or amendments must be made 96 hours before the event.

 

POOLSIDE & DECK DAYBED BOOKINGS

Bottle service available for Deck Daybeds with an additional minimum spend of $1000.

Guest Limit: Maximum guest number specified at time of booking; additional guests require an express entry fee.

Late Arrival Policy: Guests must arrive before specified times; late arrival may result in forfeiture.

Price Flexibility: Prices subject to change.

No Outside Towels: No outside towels allowed.

Payment Presentation: Credit card used for booking must be presented on the day.

Booking Changes: Booking changes or amendments must be made 96 hours before the event.

 

DRESS CODE

Admission Refusal: Admission refusal for unsuitable attire.

Footwear Requirement: Suitable footwear required.

Swimwear Policy: To bathe in the pool, we do enforce that you wear proper bathing attire; you may not enter the pool fully clothed.

Topless Bathing: Please note that topless bathing is not permitted in the venue.

Cali After Dark Dress Code: Cali After Dark does not permit swimwear, thongs, board shorts, or singlets. Dress code is smart casual/cocktail attire from 6 pm.

 

TATTOO POLICY

Acceptance Criteria: Head tattoos, offensive or gang-related tattoos not accepted.

DISCLAIMER – Personal Belongings

Cali Beach shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings brought onto our premises. This disclaimer applies to items such as, but not limited to, personal electronics, valuables, bags, and any other personal property.

Customers, clients, visitors, or any individuals present on Cali Beach’s premises are solely responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings.

Lost Property: Lost property is kept for a maximum 3 days.

 

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Storage Restrictions: We do not store any luggage, large bags, or bike helmets at the venue, so they will not be permitted inside.

Illegal Items: Illegal drugs, outside food/beverages/snacks, food/beverage containers, toys/props/inflatables, weapons/sharp objects, video/SLR cameras.

 

WATER JETS

Valuables Warning: Keep phones and valuables away from water jet areas.

 

FORCE MAJEURE:

Amendment Deadline: Change of dates or amendments must be made at least 96 hours before the event.

No-shows and Cancellations: No change of date will be provided to no-shows or cancellations made within 96 hours before your booking.

Hotspot Exception: In the event that you are located or deemed in a hotspot, Cali Beach will allow a credit or booking date change.

Event Cancellation: If Cali Beach cancels the event for any reason, all monies will be refunded, or the booking date can be changed.

 

SAFETY

In case of Injury or accident, please make yourself known to our Staff. Please act and drink responsibly inside the venue, make sure you keep hydrated, venue especially in during Summer when the sun becomes the strongest.

 

Please remember when receiving bottles of champagne and proceeding to open them:

·       Press down on the cork firmly whilst opening the cage/metal top.

·       Do not shake or point the bottle in the direction of your own self or that of anyone else.

·       When the bottle is empty, please dispose of the glass bottle safely or give to a member of staff.

·       Drinking from the bottle is not permitted under any circumstances.

Further to this, please remember:

·       No diving into the pool.

·       No running around the pool.

·       Drugs are strictly prohibited.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Pool depths are shallow ranging from 0.4m to 1.4cm.

 

 

MONETARY GIFT VOUCHERS:

Expiry and Usage: All vouchers have an expiry date and cannot be extended and are non-refundable & non-transferable.

Unused Amounts: No differences can be issued for unused amounts on vouchers.

Minimum Spend Exclusion: Monetary Gift Vouchers cannot be used against a minimum spend booking but can be used on an amount in excess of the minimum spend.

Usable Locations: Monetary Gift Vouchers can be used at any of our bars located inside the venue.

Expired Vouchers: All vouchers not used by their expiry date will be redeemed and cannot be refunded.

Boutique Items Exclusion: Boutique items online and in-store cannot be purchased with monetary gift vouchers.
